I’ve been in the mortgage lending business for over 35 years and understand both the homebuying process and how important it is to be able to reach someone when you need them. My passion is helping clients obtain their dream of homeownership and provide the attention to detail that makes every experience run smoothly and easily. I have an in-depth understanding of the local real estate market and what it takes to effectively and expertly close loans, including doctor and dentist, construction to permanent for those dream homes, and jumbos for larger amounts. I’m also proficient in helping first-time homebuyers in need of grant funds to help with down payments and closing costs, and existing owners looking to refinance.
Personal interests
During my career, I’ve been involved with many networking groups, professional organizations, and boards of directors, including the Women’s Council of REALTORS®, Richmond Home Builders Association, Virginia Home Builders Association, Partnership for Housing Affordability, and the Mortgage Bankers Association. Personally, I’m an avid boater and lover of the ocean, bay, and many water sports. I have a passion for boating education and safety on the water, along with keeping the Chesapeake Bay and the oceans clear and clean for everyone and everything to enjoy them. I’ve served in many positions, including past commodore of the Lodge Creek Yacht Club, past commander of the Richmond Sail and Power Squadron, and past president of the Virginia Power Boat Association Women’s Auxiliary. I serve on the board of my neighborhood association and am active in my church. I love spending time and “playing” with my husband, children, and grandchildren. My motto is: “This is no dress rehearsal. You have to work hard to play hard.”
