Interest on all Certificates of Deposit (CDs) is compounded daily.

Term length:
Truist CDs with terms greater than one (1) year credit interest to the principal annually on the anniversary date of the CD.
Truist CDs with terms of thirty (30) days or less than one year credit interest to the principal at maturity.

Truist CD clients have the option to request a different frequency of interest payment as well as the option to have the interest paid to a different Truist account.

Unless you instruct us otherwise within the grace period for your Truist CD, by contacting your local branch or by calling 877-958-5277, when your Truist CD matures, it will automatically renew: 

  • For the same time period as the original CD term. 
  • At the Truist standard interest rate in effect at the time. The standard interest rate is 0.05%, with an APY of 0.05% and is accurate as of 5/12/2026, subject to change without notice at any time. Please visit your local branch or call us for current CD information. 

Refer to the Bank Services Agreement for further information on CD renewals including grace periods.
