Ileana serves as Head of Debt Capital Markets (“DCM”), expanding her responsibilities beyond Investment Grade (“IG”) DCM & Syndicate to include Asset Securitization, Financial Risk Management, and Project Finance.
Previously, as the Head of IG DCM & Syndicate, Ileana successfully grew the IG DCM group by serving Truist’s clients through originating and syndicating loans and securities in the loan and public/private bond markets across all Truist covered industry sectors. The IG team also advises clients on topics including funding and liquidity, balance sheet optimization, regulatory capital planning, and liability management.
Prior to these roles, Ileana was the Head of the Private Institutional Capital (“PIC”) Group, which provides investment banking coverage for financial sponsors, family offices, and alternative capital investors. She also served as the Head Structured Products, providing clients originations, structuring and asset management for balance sheet securitization facilities, ABS capital markets, fund finance, and working capital solutions. Prior to 2018, Ileana led IG DCM efforts for financials, REITs & homebuilders, TMT, and healthcare sectors.
Before her time at Truist, she was the Head of the Esoteric/Structured Solutions Syndicate Desk at Deutsche Bank Securities, with further experience in ABS Syndicate/Trading at Bank of America, and IG DCM Origination at Bank of America.
Ileana received a B.A. in Economics & Political Economics from the University of Rochester, a J.D. from the State University of New York School of Law, and a M.B.A. from the William E. Simon School of Business Administration, University of Rochester.
Ileana is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
