As Head of Equity Capital Markets for Truist Securities, West represents and advises corporate, venture capital and financial sponsor clients. Since joining SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, now Truist Securities, he has been one of the leaders within capital markets and in growing the Equity Capital Markets team. His team of over 35 professionals is divided into both sector and product focused pods that have the expertise to advise and execute across the spectrum of ECM products. These include IPOs, Follow-on Offerings, Convertible Offerings, ATMs, Equity Forwards and Call-Spreads in connection with Convertible Offerings. West serves as a member of the Equity Commitment Committee.
West has over 25 years of experience within equity capital markets. He joined Truist in 2013 from Piper Jaffray where he ran their Asia Capital Markets effort in Hong Kong and previously led their healthcare equity capital markets efforts. Prior to Piper, he was at First Union/Wachovia for nine years with two years in High Yield Capital Markets and seven years in ECM.
West holds an MBA from the University of Maryland Smith School of Business and a BA from the College of Charleston. He currently serves on the Boards of Nantucket Community Sailing, Egan Martine Institute & Life Saving Museum as well as the Nantucket Yacht Club.
