Personal Interests
David was born and raised in Winston-Salem and now calls Lewisville home. He’s part of a large family of 10 children in which sports was always a big factor. David played baseball at North Carolina State University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s in economics and business. After college, he played with the Boston Red Sox organization for several years before entering a career in investments.
He shares his commitment to and support for his community through a variety of activities, including the Lighthouse Project. Each year, David volunteers at Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center, which provides activities for both children and adults with special needs. He served on the Jeremy Long YMCA board for eight years, volunteered as an assistant coach for the Reynolds High School baseball team for five years, and, as a dog lover, is a supporter of the Humane Society and an advocate for rescue dogs. Because fitness is important to him, he enjoys running in 5Ks for various charitable organizations to raise both awareness and support.
His hobbies include exercising, golf, and traveling.
