Background

Cari Campbell is an Institutional Trust Advisor within Institutional Investment and Advisory Services at Truist Bank. She brings more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including over two decades dedicated exclusively to serving nonprofit organizations and philanthropic institutions.  As an Institutional Trust Advisor, she’s responsible for the practice’s client service delivery, acting as a key strategic advisor to new and existing nonprofit relationships and providing clients with deep nonprofit insight and experience, in addition to overseeing account administration.

The Institutional Investment and Advisory Services group delivers comprehensive investment advisory, administration, planned giving, custody, trust, and fiduciary services to nonprofit organizations, administering assets for foundations, hospitals, educational institutions, cultural organizations, human service agencies, associations, municipalities, and other nonprofits.

Since joining Truist in 2005, Cari has held leadership roles across Corporate Marketing and the Truist (SunTrust) Foundation, where she developed deep experience in strategic marketing, philanthropic engagement, and foundation governance. Her career also includes experience on Capitol Hill as a Senior Aide, as well as leadership positions in marketing with Northern Trust. She previously served as Executive Director of the Education Foundation of Sarasota County and as Director of Development for the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation, where she led fundraising strategy and community partnerships.

Personal Interests

Cari is Vice President of the Georgia Planned Giving Council and a Philanthropy Southeast Hull Fellow. She is a graduate of Leadership Sarasota and The Protocol School of Washington, and she has served on multiple nonprofit boards in Georgia and Florida while remaining actively engaged in civic and community service initiatives.

Cari earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication, with minors in Business and Journalism, from Indiana University.
