Zak is a native of Harris County, Georgia where he and his father own and operate a 1,000 acre farm that is focused on conservation through timber and wildlife management.  Zak and his wife, Amanda, have a daughter, Caroline, who is the fifth generation of his family to grow up on Canaan Farms.
