About me

Background

Prior to joining Truist, Vance worked as an accountant with a regional public accounting firm focused primarily on individual, corporate, and flow-through entity taxation and researching complex tax issues1. He also has experience in small business consulting, including conducting feasibility analyses and market research for real estate development projects. 

Originally from Placerville, California, Vance moved to North Carolina after serving seven years in multiple overseas locations with the U.S. Air Force. Vance was a distinguished graduate from the Air Force Security Forces Academy, receiving two Air Force Achievement Medals for his overseas service. 

Vance graduated first in his class with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Campbell University. He then earned a Master of Accounting degree with a tax concentration1 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also holds Certified Investment Management Analyst® and Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor® designations.
