About me

Background

Tracy Thompson is a vice president and Financial Advisor with Truist Investment Services, Inc., with 22 years of financial services experience. He serves the south-central region of Kentucky, which includes the Bowling Green, Glasgow/Cave City, Russellville, and Somerset markets. Thompson has spent most of the past decade executing the firm’s financial planning strategy: a broad-based, goal-focused plan of action, directly tied to his clients aspirations and needs. These actions include investment management, estate planning, and insurance and income needs analysis. He has completed dozens of financial plans for his clients helping in both planning and implementation.

Tracy joined our predecessor firm, BB&T Securities LLC, in May of 2010, and worked as both a wealth advisor and regional manager for BB&T Investments. He served as a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch from 1999 to 2003 and then as a financial advisor for Community Trust Bank’s trust department from 2003 until 2010. He holds his Series 7, 24, and 66 securities registrations, as well as his life and health insurance licenses.

Personal Interests

Thompson is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and is interested in supporting youth sports and youth sports programs, serving on boards of both high school and elementary school programs, including the Russell High School booster club. He was a coach for the Prichard Elementary basketball teams for four years and coached boys little league baseball and girls softball. Additionally, Thompson served on the tri-state board of directors for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He lives in Bowling Green, KY, with his wife, Carol, and has two children, Justin and Hannah, two grandchildren, Jude and Ellie, and a daughter-in-law, Savannah, all of whom currently live in Richmond, KY.  His daughter Hannah is a practicing attorney currently in Louisville, KY.
