Tom is a native of Hyattsville, Maryland and is a graduate of Georgetown University. Tom serves on the board of San Miguel School in Washington, DC and is very active in the Georgetown University Scholarship Program. Both organizations strive to provide a quality education for students from families with very limited resources. Tom is also a Governor on the Georgetown Alumni Association Board, and is on the Alumni Admissions Program's Board of Advisors, as well as Chairman of the Bethesda/Chevy Chase Georgetown Alumni Admissions Committee. Tom is an active member of Heroes Inc. Heroes honors law enforcement officers and firefighters who gave their lives in the line of duty by supporting the spouses and children they left behind. Tom and his wife Karen have four children and live in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
