Background
Tom Martyn is the Estate Managing Director with Truist Wealth. Tom offers clients more than 25 years of trust and estate experience serving in numerous senior executive capacities with other financial institutions, including as the National Head of JPMorgan’s Estate and Specialty Practices for over nine years. Tom oversees a team of estate professionals who are dedicated to administering estates and addressing termination of revocable trusts for Truist clients.
Prior to this role, Tom was a Senior Trust Advisor at Truist, helping Ultra High Net Worth families manage, maintain, and grow their generational wealth and address their goals by identifying planning opportunities involving trusts, philanthropy, insurance, and tax-efficient asset protection structures. He develops comprehensive financial and estate plans and oversees the implementation and administration of those plans. Tom maintains current knowledge in trust and estate laws and taxation that concern clients planning and serves as a resource and fiduciary consultant to his clients.
Personal Interests
Tom resides in Westport, CT with his wife, Eugenie, daughter, Elly Mae, and two Yorkies. Tom is a member of the Trusts and Estates Law Section of the New York State Bar Association, along with the Estate and Trust Administration Committee. He is also a member of the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, and a member of the Estate Planning Council for Lower Fairfield County.
