The Glaser Group’s portfolio construction and our investment management process represent the cornerstone to our client’s investment strategy. Our Core/Satellite portfolio structure and our portfolio construction process utilizes both fundamental and technical research from internal and external resources as well as our experience over the last 20+ years in which we have seen a wide range of differing market dynamics. We utilize that experience and knowledge in our process as we construct and manage our client’s portfolios based on the following principals:

Portfolio Construction:
  1. Allocation based on a benchmark.
  2. Equities are a common way to produce long term returns and are the main driver of risk and return.
  3. Fixed Income offsets equity risk.
Investment Management:
  1. Replicate the benchmark for a core position
  2. Liability Driven Investment (LDI) where meeting required income is the main objective
  3. Use both Fundamental and Technical analysis
  4. Fundamental analysis is looking for mispriced securities by examining underlying financial factors
  5. Technical analysis is using trends in price to determine supply and demand factors for an investment
