Karen Cole is a Senior Vice President and Legal Wealth Advisor with the Truist Legal Specialty Group offering clients more than 30 years of financial services experience. She focuses on serving the needs of law firms and individual attorneys in the Greater Tampa Bay market, adding value to the legal and attorney community with her significant industry experience and the support of the firm’s dedicated, full-service Legal Specialty team through specialized wealth, investment, insurance, banking, and borrowing solutions.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and fiduciary, Karen helps her clients take a comprehensive, strategic approach to financial planning. An excellent communicator and connector, Karen is an active member of the community serving on boards at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts and The Florida Orchestra, as well as the Development Council for Bay Area Legal Services and as a Non-attorney Committee "A" member of the Florida Bar's Thirteenth Circuit Unlicensed Practice of Law. Karen is also an active member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers. Karen resides in South Tampa (Ballast Point) with her husband, Matthew and has two adult children, Mitchell and Morgan. In her spare time, Karen enjoys visiting her children, watching and attending sporting events and musical performances, as well as playing tennis, running and taking dance classes.

Hello. My name is Karen Cole and I'm a legal wealth advisor with Truist Legal Specialty Group located in Tampa, Florida. My team focuses on the unique and specialized financial needs of law firms and attorneys, offering customized solutions to help them achieve their short and long term financial goals. I focus my practice on meeting the needs of the established partners of the firms that we serve. I'm their primary point of contact for all things financial as well as life's twists and turns. I'm also personally connected to the legal community in many ways, and make it a top priority to stay abreast of the financial trends and best practices of the legal profession. It's amazing how much the banking industry has changed since I entered as a management trainee in 1993, after college. I was privileged to be at the precipice of a dynamic pivot in bank branch management, from order taker and servicing mentality to more of a sales and advisory model. When not advising clients, you'll find me playing tennis or feeding my passion for music and sports by volunteering and attending events at the Straz Center for Performing Arts and Florida Orchestra, as well as attending Rays, Lightning and Bucs games in Champ-a Bay. But my proudest accomplishment and role is that of mother to my adult son and daughter. Seeing them both thrive fills my soul with joy. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
