Background
Erin serves as a Wealth Strategist for the Virginia and West Virginia Wealth Team. Erin works with ultra-high- net worth families with their planning needs, including estate and tax planning, trust administration, wealth transfer and asset protection, cash flow analysis, and charitable gift planning. She prides herself on being a good listener, communicator, and she cares deeply about her clients and colleagues.
Erin practiced law in estate and trust administration for over a decade where she supported clients in making decisions about how to effectively structure their estate plans to help achieve their long-term legacy goals.
Most recently, Erin served as a Senior Trust Officer at Bank of America, Private Bank, where she managed a large trust portfolio. She worked closely with grantors and trust beneficiaries on estate and cash flow planning, tax planning, and philanthropic goals. She ensured the administration process was in accordance with fiduciary standards.
Passionate about her community, Erin served for many years as an adjunct professor and the Managing Director at the Elder and Disability Law Clinic at William & Mary Law School. providing estate planning, guardianships, special needs and disability planning and other legal services to the Hampton Roads community. She also served as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem for children and incapacitated adult, and also as counsel for CASA (“Court Appointed Special Advocates”) in Williamsburg, VA. Erin serves on the Board of Trustees for Literacy for Life and the Williamsburg Community Foundation. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Trusts and Estates and Family law Sections, and was selected as a ”Top Lawyer” by Virginia Coastal Magazine from 2018 to 2021.
