Background

Mr. Kirby has been in the financial services industry 45 years in various capacities including investment banking and financial advisory services.  He has worked in the private client groups of several brokerage firms since 2000.  His practice includes individual investors, small business owners, and institutional investors.  Mr. Kirby serves on the board of directors at Carnegie Hall Foundation and is a board trustee at the Concord University Foundation, where he has assisted them with growing their endowments.

Personal Interests

Mr. Kirby is married to Sandy and they have two daughters who have families of their own and live nearby.  His interests include helping others understand the importance of saving and beginning at an early age, hiking, mountain biking, photography, music, and traveling with Sandy.  He enjoys six grandchildren, attending baseball, basketball, football, soccer games, dance recitals, and playing at their pool.  David and his son-in-law, Matt, who works with him in The Wilkerson-Hale Group of Truist Investment Services Inc., also enjoy cars.
