Personal Interests

Originally from Maryland outside the Washington DC metro area, Carl lives in New Bern, North Carolina with his wife, Julie, and they have three children. Carl is a current board member of Public Radio East an affiliate of National Public Radio and a former board member of St. Paul Catholic School Finance Committee. He is passionate about Italian cooking, US history and a self-described "news junkie." He enjoys spending time with friends and family not only at the coast but at their home at Lake Gaston.
