Background

Bernie began her career in 1994 with BB&T Scott & Stringfellow as a Financial Services Specialist focusing on mutual funds and annuities. The next 20+ years of experience in the field gave Bernie knowledge and understanding of the markets, products and services, and a passion for helping clients figure out their goals and objectives and build a plan to help them reach their dreams. Most recently prior to joining the company, Bernie worked for Raymond James and Associates as a Vice President of Investments for a Wealth Management Team.

Bernie is a past member of IMCA and sat on a Regional Fee-Based Roundtable for BB&T Scott & Stringfellow. She holds a Series 7 license, Series 63 & 65 and the Virginia Life and Health Insurance license. She attended Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA where she earned her B.A. in Business and Economics. Bernie is active in her community with various activities in Hanover County. She and her husband Eric have two children, Nicholas and Carson.
