About me

Background

Alex Fontana gained his interest in financial services at the early age of 10 years old by watching his father, Thomas, build his investment management practice. This initial interest was acted upon when he started his career as a Teller at Wells Fargo Bank in his Junior year of college at FSU. Alex then joined his father and his business partner, Jeff Tucker, at Wells Fargo Advisors as a financial advisor in 2013. The team made the strategic decision to move their practice from Wells Fargo Advisors to BB&T Scott & Stringfellow in 2015 (now Truist Investment Services, Inc.) and have continued to expand the team in pursuit of providing a great client experience

Since the start of his financial services career in 2011, Alex has provided tailored solutions to each client’s specific needs. In the beginning of his career Alex focused on helping retirees plan and develop stable income strategies in retirement. In 2016, Alex earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation enhancing his financial, retirement, insurance, and estate planning knowledge. After further developing this knowledge base Alex realized that while still able to help guide retirees the value he can provide is maximized for business owners through various investment management, risk mitigation and tax planning strategies*.

Alex and his wife, Ariel, are proud parents of their son, Alex Michael Fontana, Jr. “AJ” and daughter, Aria Michele Fontana. Outside of spending quality time with family and friends, Alex enjoys playing golf, fishing, shooting, exercising and basically any other outdoor activity. Alex is an active supporter of various local and national charitable organizations and events and is involved in the local community’s economic and social development through a number of local organizations.
