Background
Marc Tendler graduated from the University of Alabama in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in corporate finance and investment management. He was offered a position at Merrill Lynch prior to graduation and upon earning his degree, became a financial consultant in Miami. During Marc’s early years at Merrill Lynch he developed a particular skill customizing investment portfolios for each of his clients. While most other advisors were reducing their specialties and using more products that would appeal to the masses, Marc continued to build his expertise tailoring portfolios to meet each of his client’s unique needs. Marc further advanced his education by earning a Certified Investment Management Analyst designation from the prestigious Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. There he began his focus on risk assessment and loss limiting strategies, and combined this with his individualized approach to each client’s portfolio. His financial roots go beyond business school and Wharton, as Marc is a second generation investment advisor. He has spent a lifetime learning the lessons of up and down markets, booming and slowing economies, and the pitfalls of investing with the crowd.
While advising high-net-worth clients at Merrill Lynch, Marc was also a national speaker on banking and management strategies for the company. He served on the Florida Advisory Council to Management and successfully ran one of the largest associate offices in the country for the firm. Marc always believed his own success was the direct result of the success of his clients and of the people he mentored and lead. That still rings true today more than ever. By putting his clients first in every instance, understanding the enormous responsibility his clients have entrusted him with, and truly listening to the needs of his clients.
