Background

Laura Galaida is a Client Manager within the Foundations and Endowments Specialty Practice, offering clients 15 years of client management and nonprofit experience. As a client manager, she’s a key strategic advisor to new and existing relationships, providing deep nonprofit insight to clients and overseeing the account administration.

Before joining Truist, Laura spent five years in fundraising at Charitybuzz, the leader in online charity auctions—first as an account manager in New York City and then managing business development in the D.C. region. Prior to Charitybuzz, she worked in several decorative arts departments at Sotheby’s Auction House, overseeing sales administration, managing compliance, and working with high-net-worth clients.

Laura is a graduate of Connecticut College, earned a certificate in global philanthropy from New York University, and is a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) candidate.

She serves as the treasurer of the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle, Maine, and is on the acquisitions committee of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C. She also chairs the Phillips Collection contemporaries acquisitions committee and is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Society of Association Executives.
