Background
Keith Nelms is a Financial Advisor and Director with Truist Investment Services, Inc. Keith’s focus is on providing thoughtful advice based on a clear understanding of his clients’ goals and objectives balanced with other factors such as their timing and comfort with risk. He gains his understanding of these by first taking the time to listen to his clients and by delving deeply into key planning issues, including often overlooked areas such as personal values in investing, planning family legacy goals, providing care for others as well as charitable and philanthropic intentions.
Keith functions as a “behavior coach” when helping clients navigate the investment landscape, applying a consistent philosophy involving diversification and managing risk to preserve principal where appropriate, all while working to maintain his client’s objectivity (versus succumbing to emotions) and avoiding any “gimmicky” approach such as those involving market timing.
Additionally, Keith has broad experience working with clients with business succession and transition needs, helping to navigate the complexities of the various personal, family and business issues that arise. His financial services career began in 1992 and includes experience as a city banking executive. Keith has served as a Financial Advisor since 2003, joining Truist in 2012.
