Background
David Herritt is the head of the Center for Family Legacy and has been with Truist Wealth and its predecessor firm since 2006. He’s actively involved in developing resources to aid families in areas related to their human and intellectual capital. With extensive experience in family meeting facilitation, communication, policy creation, and next generation education, he has direct oversight of all aspects of delivering family governance, education, enhanced reporting, and expense management.
Prior to joining Truist, David worked for several trust companies, including Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank Trust, and U.S. Trust, and spent much of the early part of his 30-plus year career in trust and estate administration. Over time, he transitioned to focusing on the human and intellectual capital topics facing families. He regularly speaks and writes for professional and client groups on a myriad of topics, including family governance and dynamics, next generation education, and planning for closely held businesses.
