Background

Alexander Hernandez is a Financial Advisor specializing in financial planning for individuals and families, offering business owners, executives, and other clients more than 20 years of investment management experience.  

Alexander focuses on advising clients on developing and implementing investment strategies to help them meet their immediate and future goals. He follows a disciplined process of assessing a client's financial situation, forming and executing an appropriate investment plan, and performing ongoing portfolio maintenance to obtain measurable results. He also consults on risk management, retirement planning, and other critical financial strategies. 

Hernandez holds his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ (CRPC®), and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) professional designations. He came to Truist’s predecessor firm, SunTrust Investment Services, from Prudential Preferred Financial Services, where he was a securities registered rep and preferred advisor.

Personal Interests

Born in Cali, Colombia, and brought to the United States at an early age, Hernandez grew up in Gainesville, FL, where he earned a dual degree in finance and real estate analysis from the University of Florida. 

He previously served as board chair for the Orange County Commission of Children and Families and currently serves on several boards: BASE Camp Children’s Cancer Organization, Lie Down or Stand Up, and Walt Disney World Participants Association. He's also an active member in the Central Florida YMCA. One of his many adventures was in the Amazon Rainforest of South America. When not in the office, Alexander enjoys triathlons, volunteering, and spending time with his wife, Deann, and five children.
