Personal Interests
Born in Cali, Colombia, and brought to the United States at an early age, Hernandez grew up in Gainesville, FL, where he earned a dual degree in finance and real estate analysis from the University of Florida.
He previously served as board chair for the Orange County Commission of Children and Families and currently serves on several boards: BASE Camp Children’s Cancer Organization, Lie Down or Stand Up, and Walt Disney World Participants Association. He's also an active member in the Central Florida YMCA. One of his many adventures was in the Amazon Rainforest of South America. When not in the office, Alexander enjoys triathlons, volunteering, and spending time with his wife, Deann, and five children.
