About Our Process

Hello, my name is Stephanie Clay. I’m a senior vice president, medical wealth advisor with Truist Wealth. I focus solely on advising physicians in private practice as well as those associated with well-known hospitals. I’m located in Houston, TX, at the heart and backbone of the local medical community. When I first thought of becoming an advisor, I knew I wanted to be a listener, a coach, a counselor in all things related to financial health. The beginning of my banking career started 20 plus years ago on the corporate banking side of the house structuring highly complex real estate transactions for large publicly traded and privately held companies. Within the last seven years, I transitioned to Private Bank where my focused shifted to managing wealthy individuals/families who have come into to wealth through liquidity events or family legacy. As a medical wealth advisor my primary focus is consulting physicians in all stages of their careers–from opening their first practice to positioning the practice to be sold to private equity or the successor of the practice. I also advise physicians on the disciplines around creating and sustaining wealth through financial planning, investment management, and credit solutions–from primary residential loans to medical buy-in loans. My clients rely on -me to listen between the lines and focus on the facts as well as give attention to the emotional side of financial planning. I lead a team of financial specialists whose sole focus and expertise is understanding the financial spectrum of the healthcare industry. My team is comprised an investment specialist, trust officer and estate planning attorney, a medical relationship manager focusing on traditional banking and credit needs of a private practice. Our team cares. We've fostered a collaborative culture of financial specialists who make it their business to listen—and truly understand you—at the outset. When I’m not working with clients, I’m on the golf course, playing soccer with my son or winding down with girlfriends. All of our clients have their own unique vision. We can’t wait to hear yours!
