About me
Background
As an Advice & Planning Strategist, John is responsible for working with clients at every phase of life to help them understand, develop, and ultimately achieve their financial goals. John is committed to providing discussion, analysis and recommendations so clients can make educated decisions for their family’s future.
Prior to joining Truist, John most recently served as a Wealth and Estate Planning Specialist for Morgan Stanley Private Wealth in San Francisco. There he covered the Pacific Northwest Region, spanning from the Bay Area to Seattle, for the firm. Prior to that position, he worked as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley in Birmingham, Alabama; and served as clerk to Chief Justice Chuck Malone for the Alabama Supreme Court.
John received a B.A. in History with a minor in Finance from the University of Alabama in 2007. He was a member of the Crimson Tide basketball team, lettering and receiving an athletic scholarship his senior season. He received his J.D. degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2011, and his LL.M. in Taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco in 2020. Though he currently resides in Nashville, he is a native of Florence, Alabama.
