Background

Andrew Smith is a Wealth Advisor who joined Truist Bank in early 2022 after almost a decade at a multi-family office, where he led the delivery of family office services to clients. Andrew’s passion is serving ultra-affluent families who need sophisticated estate, tax*, family office, and philanthropic advice and services.

After growing up in southern Alabama where his father served and retired from the Armed Forces, Andrew received a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University (2005) and law degree from the University of Houston Law Center (2010).  He earned his law degree at night while working full-time.

Andrew is a member of The Estate Forum, which is a small group of distinguished attorneys and CPAs* who work with ultra-affluent families. Professionally, he is also active with the Houston Estate & Financial Forum and the Baylor Business Network. Personally, Andrew serves as a Board Member for Performing Arts Houston and as a member of the Baylor Bear Foundation. He previously served as a court appointed guardian ad litem for Child Advocates of Fort Bend for five years and as a Community Bond Advisory Board Member for his children’s school district.
