Background
Rick is a Senior Investment Advisor within the Foundations and Endowments Specialty Practice. As an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer, Rick advises on the development and implementation of investment strategies to help clients meet their short and long-term goals. He follows a disciplined team-centered process of assessing an organization’s financial situation, determining risk tolerance, forming and executing an appropriate investment strategy, and regular portfolio rebalancing and reporting in order to obtain measurable results.
In his 30 plus years of investing experience, Rick has held senior positions including director of asset allocation, director of portfolio management and research, and director of international investments. He has been an investment committee member at several firms. He was an International Portfolio Manager at Glenmede Trust Company and an advisor to the Pew Charitable Trusts.
Rick holds the Chartered Financial Analyst ® (CFA®) designation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Colorado, Boulder and an MBA from the University of Denver.
Personal Interests
Rick is an active member and past President of the CFA Society of Philadelphia where he currently sits on the Endowment and Foundation Committee. He is also a Board member of the Chester County Council of the Boy Scouts of America and serves on the Investment Committees. In the past, Rick has served on the Church of the Redeemer, Bryn Mawr Investment Committee, the board of The Japan America Society of Philadelphia and the Asian Art Committee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
